Job summary

Hepsiburada is seeking an experienced senior software engineer to lead AI-driven development initiatives and architecture across scalable systems. You will mentor teams, align with product and engineering stakeholders, and drive adoption of agentic coding practices.

The role emphasizes designing microservices, distributed systems, and AI-first workflows with strong hands-on coding in Java/Spring Boot and related tech.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience designing and developing microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including MongoDB and relational databases.
• Experience with Elasticsearch and distributed data/search solutions.
• Hands-on experience with messaging and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with distributed caching technologies such as Hazelcast is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with engineers, architects, product teams and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to mentor, coach and influence development teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software development teams, driving engineering excellence.
• Own and lead end-to-end technical and architectural design of complex, scalable systems.
• Lead integration of AI coding agents into the development workflow and define boundaries for agent vs. human work.
• Evaluate design approaches for performance, scalability, modularity and reliability.
• Define technology stack and development approaches based on requirements and long-term sustainability.
• Lead architecture and design reviews and ensure architectural consistency.
• Translate architectural decisions into interfaces, data models and integration patterns.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and cross-functional teams throughout the SDLC.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies and communicate them to stakeholders.
• Promote high-quality software development practices (TDD, CI, automated testing).
• Mentor engineers and spread agentic working practices across the team.
