Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering; a master’s degree is a plus.
• 0–5 years of experience in environmental management, preferably in refinery, petrochemical, energy, heavy industry, or manufacturing environments; fresh grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Ensure environmental compliance across refinery operations and supervise team members.
• Research and analyze innovations related to the field and propose adaptations for refinery operations.
• Follow environmental legislation, permits, declarations, regulatory documentation, and reporting.
• Coordinate monitoring of emissions, wastewater, waste management, soil, noise, and related parameters.
• Conduct field inspections in refinery units, waste areas, and contractor work areas to identify risks and improvements.
• Follow up environmental incidents, spills, corrective/preventive actions.
• Adhere to ISO 14001 EMS requirements and conduct site risk assessments.
• Prepare environmental performance data, periodic reports, and management inputs.

What You’ll Do?

• Ensure environmental compliance across refinery operations in line with laws, standards, and regulations, and supervising team members accordingly.
• Conducting or commissioning research and analysis on technological/sectoral innovations related to the field, and developing proposals to adapt these innovations to refinery operations.
• Follow environmental legislation, permits, declarations, regulatory documentation, and official reporting processes.
• Coordinate environmental monitoring activities for emissions, wastewater, waste management, soil, noise, and related parameters.
• Carry out field inspections in refinery units, waste areas, and contractor work areas to identify risks, nonconformities, and improvement actions.
• Follow up environmental incidents, spills, corrective/preventive actions,
• Following and executing the requirements of the Integrated Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System requirements
• Conducting site inspections and risk assessments.
• Prepare environmental performance data, periodic reports, presentations, and management review inputs.

What We Look For?

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering; a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering is a plus.
• 0–5 years of experience in environmental management, preferably in refinery, petrochemical, energy, heavy industry, or manufacturing environments; fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
• Basic knowledge of Turkish environmental legislation, environmental permits, waste management, emissions, wastewater, and ISO 14001 requirements.
• Fluent in English, able to use it actively in written and oral communication (at least B2 level),
• Having an Occupational Health and Safety certificate is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and willingness to work actively in refinery field conditions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal departments.
• Strong team player with effective communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile environment.
• High adaptability to change and openness to innovation.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, follow-up skills, communication skills, and openness to continuous learning.
