Job summary

PHINIA is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer in Izmir, Turkey, to manage OEM customer complaints, containment, and 8D processes. You will track CAPAs, support APQP/P-FMEA activities, and ensure adherence to IATF16949/VDA6.3 standards while coordinating audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires a Mechanical/Industrial/Chemical/Automotive engineering degree, fluent English, and at least 2 years in automotive quality with exposure to OEM portals and problem-solving tools.

Qualifications

• Graduated in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or Automotive engineering.
• Minimum 2 years in quality roles supporting OEMs in automotive.
• Knowledge of CSR requirements.
• Experience with OEM portals.
• Experience with 5-Why, Fishbone, and 8D problem-solving.
• Familiarity with IATF16949, VDA6.3 basics; PPAP/APQP/FMEA/Control Plan/SPC/MSA.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer complaints and warranty processes for OEMs.
• Perform containment, root cause analysis and 8D report updates.
• Track effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate 3rd party containment activities when needed.
• Support change/deviation communication with customers.
• Ensure on-time PPAP submission and related documentation.
• Assist internal and customer audits.
• Contribute to quality KPI achievement.
