Job summary

Atlas Copco Group in the Marmara region seeks an experienced Import/Export Supervisor to oversee cross-border operations, liaise with customs brokers, and ensure orders, requests, and complaints are processed efficiently.

You will monitor regulations, maintain accurate documentation, support invoicing, and drive changes to stay compliant, including leading the AEO process and supplier communications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin, Economics, International Trade, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years in a leadership or senior specialist role.
  • Deep knowledge of foreign trade, customs legislation, and customs clearance procedures.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken.
  • Experience in AEO certification and its management process.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee import and export processes with customs brokers.
  • Monitor customs regulations, international trade conditions, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure documentation accuracy and file tracking; provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Oversee invoicing to ensure accuracy and timely payments within the correct accounting period.
  • Facilitate communication with suppliers and manage professional correspondence.
  • Identify necessary product revisions to comply with changing legislations; drive execution.
  • Lead and manage the AEO process.

Job description

This role is responsible for directly supervising, supporting, and coordinating import & export operations, ensuring that customer orders, requests, and complaints are processed in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Managing and overseeing import and export processes in close collaboration with customs broker companies.
  • Closely monitoring customs regulations, international trade conditions, and compliance requirements for imported and exported products.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation and file tracking, while delivering regular operational reports and metrics to senior management.
  • Overseeing the invoicing process to ensure accuracy and timely execution within the correct accounting period, securing full and on-time payments.
  • Facilitating effective communication and managing professional correspondence with suppliers.
  • Identifying necessary product revisions to comply with changing legislations and driving the execution of these changes.
  • Leading and managing the AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) process.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, International Trade, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar leadership or senior specialist position is a must.
  • Deep knowledge of foreign trade, customs legislation, and customs clearance procedures is required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
  • Experience in AEO certification and its management process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Customs Broker License.
  • Enhanced knowledge of operations and supply chain management concepts (e.g., forecasting, planning, optimization, logistics) gained through professional work experience.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and other modern IT/logistics tools.
