Position Overview
We are looking for an HR Specialist who will play a key role in designing and delivering learning and development initiatives, while also driving Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding efforts that strengthen how we attract and engage talent. This position combines a strong Learning & Development focus with meaningful ownership of employer branding and recruitment marketing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business leaders, HRBPs, and key stakeholders to identify capability development needs and support learning and organizational development initiatives
- Lead the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of learning and development programs, including managing the annual training cycle (planning, budgeting, scheduling, and effectiveness measurement)
- Own and continuously enhance onboarding and orientation programs to help new employees integrate into the organization and culture
- Leverage digital learning technologies, AI-powered solutions, and HR systems to enhance learning experiences and employee development
- Support talent acquisition processes, including sourcing support, interview coordination, and candidate experience enhancement
- Develop and execute employer branding initiatives, including career site content, social media presence, and university/campus engagement, to strengthen the organization's talent attraction
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team on recruitment marketing campaigns and communication of the employee value proposition (EVP)
- Build and maintain effective relationships with external training providers, consultants, universities, and learning partners
- Support the alignment and deployment of global people practices within the Heidelberg Materials network
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Social Sciences, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably within Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Talent Acquisition, or Talent Management, in a manufacturing and/or matrix-structured organization
- Knowledge of organizational development methodologies, competency frameworks, and talent management practices
- Exposure to talent acquisition, recruitment marketing, or employer branding activities is a strong advantage
- Strong understanding of core HR processes and employee lifecycle management, with a proactive, solution-oriented approach to continuous improvement
- Strong analytical mindset, with experience in data analysis, reporting, and translating findings into actionable recommendations
- Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint); excellent command of English; knowledge of German is a plus
- Experience with HRIS platforms (especially Workday) and manufacturing, industrial, multi-site, or matrix-structured organizations is a strong asset
