Job summary

EY Istanbul is seeking a Senior Manager to join our Financial Services Risk Management team. You will lead engagement work, manage budgets and staffing, and directly advise clients on credit risk topics.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in banking and capital markets, IFRS 9, Basel IV, climate risk, and regulatory reporting, plus strong analytics, communication, and project management skills. Working with EY means a global, diverse environment and opportunities to shape risk programs

Qualifications

• A relevant university degree in finance, mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, data science or related discipline; MBA or MS preferred.
• Min. 8 years of relevant experience in banking/capital markets with strong credit risk infrastructure or advisory background.
• Experience in credit risk management, rating systems, modelling and validation, IFRS 9 impairment, climate risk management, and regulatory capital.
• Experience in credit decision systems, credit lifecycle applications, credit risk and collection strategies, limits and income estimation models.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with knowledge in credit risk measurement and management.
• Experience with R/Python/SQL/SAS or similar software environments.
• Broad consulting and project management skills with effective written and oral communication.
• Military service obligations fulfilled or postponed for male candidates.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement work, manage budgets and staffing for client projects.
• Advise clients on credit risk topics including modelling, IFRS 9 impairment, Basel IV and regulatory reporting.
• Support development and enhancement of credit decision systems and risk monitoring processes.
