Job summary

Volex Gebze plant in Türkiye seeks an MT Quality professional reporting to the Quality Director and GM Global Transformation. You will drive quality excellence across MT operations, perform 4M and process audits, and support customer audit readiness.

Based at Gebze, you will work with plant managers and senior leaders to improve CoPQ, establish best-practice standards for wire harness assembly and testing equipment, and promote a Poka-Yoke mindset across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive wire harness manufacturing or a similar industry in quality-focused roles.
• Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies including PFMEA, 8D, 5 Why Analysis, DOE, OEE, and Poka-Yoke applications.

Responsibilities

• Structure quality performance data and KPIs to support improvement across Türkiye MT quality.
• Conduct 4M and process audits across multiple sites to identify opportunities.
• Support NPI processes through 4M audits and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct readiness audits before/after domestic project and product transfers based on 4M checklists.
• Develop performance measurement systems for manufacturing operations and repair engineering.
• Promote a Poka-Yoke mindset and improve MES and traceability systems.
• Establish best-practice standards for wire harness assembly and testing equipment and test boards.
• Support customer audit readiness and quality awareness across sites.
• Track audit findings and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
• Analyze quality performance data to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ).
• Collaborate with Plant Managers and senior leadership to drive continuous improvement across MT operations.

As part of our MT Quality team, you will report to the Quality Director and the GM Global Transformation. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting quality excellence across Volex MT operations in Türkiye. Your responsibilities will include driving quality improvement activities, conducting process and 4M audits, supporting customer audit readiness, and ensuring best practices are consistently implemented across multiple manufacturing sites.

Company Introduction

In this role, you will be based at our Gebze plant in Kocaeli (Türkiye), which is the main production facility of our Murat Ticaret business acquired by Volex in 2023.

Murat Ticaret is a leading manufacturer of wiring harnesses and battery cables designed for off-highway and specialist vehicles. The company employs approximately 4,000 people across its various manufacturing sites in Türkiye.

The Gebze site, where you will be based, operates in compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards. Currently, around 700 employees work at this location.

Key Responsibilities

• Structure quality performance data and key performance indicators to support improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing overall MT quality performance in Türkiye,
• Conduct comprehensive 4M performance and process audits across multiple manufacturing sites to identify improvement opportunities and development areas,
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) processes through 4M audits, identify mandatory corrective actions, and provide best-practice recommendations,
• Conduct readiness audits before and after domestic project and product transfers based on defined 4M checklists,
• Support the development and implementation of effective performance measurement systems for manufacturing operations and repair engineering activities,
• Promote a Poka-Yoke mindset and act as the “Eyes of the Customer” during audit preparation activities, contributing to improvements in MES and manual traceability systems,
• Establish and maintain best-practice standards for wire harness assembly and testing equipment, test boards, measuring instruments, and Poka-Yoke systems,
• Support customer audit readiness activities and enhance quality awareness and audit preparedness across sites,
• Track audit findings and ensure timely closure of corrective actions,
• Analyze quality performance data and contribute to Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) reduction initiatives,
• Work closely with Plant Managers, Quality Managers, Project Transfer Managers, and senior leadership to support continuous improvement across all MT operations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline,
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive wire harness manufacturing or a similar industry in quality-focused roles,
• Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies including PFMEA, 8D, 5 Why Analysis, DOE, OEE, and Poka-Yoke applications,
• Experience in process audits, 4M audits, and corrective/preventive action management,
• Knowledge of quality performance indicators and Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) improvement methodologies,
• Experience in customer audits and quality management system compliance activities,
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills,
• Strong communication, relationship management, and influencing skills,
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple sites,
• Willingness to travel extensively across Türkiye when required,
• Advanced proficiency in both written and spoken Turkish and English,
• Proficient in MS Office applications and quality reporting tools.
