Job summary

Ford Otosan is seeking a qualified supply chain engineer to manage the coordination between suppliers and Ford Europe regions for material supply to Ford Otosan factories in Turkey.

The role involves creating action plans with import suppliers, monitoring risks, coordinating with Ford Europe and Ford Global, and preventing disruptions in Tier 1 and Tier N suppliers while optimizing material allocation and production continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Management or Automotive).

• Advanced level of English; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Playing key role in managing supply chain process between suppliers and Ford Otosan.
• Coordinate with Ford Otosan and Ford Europe departments to source materials from domestic/foreign suppliers.
• Create action plans for import suppliers with capacity constraints with Ford Europe and Ford Global. Manage material allocation for Ford Otosan factories until constraint is resolved.
• Identify supplier related problems that may cause supply disruptions; create action plans and coordinate with relevant departments.
• Analyze risk in Tier 1 and sub-suppliers affected by regional/global risks; create plans to eliminate disruptions.
• Monitor anticipated supplier risks and plan preventive measures in line with company strategies.
• Communicate with suppliers during temporary production increases or mix changes; follow up joint action plans.
• Coordinate with departments to prevent production losses due to supplier issues; escalate as needed.
• Create Emergency Action Plans in critical suppliers during peak periods (e.g., Christmas/Shutdown).
