Job summary

Ford Otosan is seeking a Safety Engineer focused on machine safety to ensure compliance with local safety legislation, develop and update procedures, and train staff across plants in Turkey.

The role involves leading risk assessments, enforcing safety standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment. You will contribute to a culture of safe operations and continuous improvement across manufacturing facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Machine Safety
• Minimum 4 years of experience in occupational safety
• Machinery safety certificate and experience preferred
• Upper intermediate English (verbal and written)

Responsibilities

• Work with Plant safety leader, follow local safety legislation, develop & update company safety procedures and standards
• Identify, develop, organize and implement occupational health and safety trainings
• Develop, communicate and be part of implementation of safety policies procedures across the company
• Review equipment /machinery risk assessments provided by the suppliers to ensure safe machinery during design, installation and buy-off of new vehicle programmes and launches
• Involve in machinery risk assessment for design, build, modification, commissioning and acceptance of machinery and equipment with regard to safety items
• Be part of risk assessment teams for new technologies.
