FLSmidth is seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead global sourcing initiatives for our Horizontal Mills portfolio. You will drive supplier partnerships, negotiate long‑term agreements, and align sourcing with engineering and manufacturing objectives in a dynamic, international environment.

You will manage spend, assess supplier capabilities, and contribute to product lifecycle cost improvements while mitigating supply chain risks across multiple regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within heavy industry, mining equipment, manufacturing, or industrial technology.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in supplier negotiations, cost modelling, spend analysis, and strategic sourcing.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute global sourcing strategies across key commodity categories including castings, forgings, fabricated components, hydraulics, gearboxes, and motors.
• Drive cost optimisation initiatives through spend analysis, supplier consolidation, benchmarking, should‑cost modelling, and strategic negotiations.
• Identify, evaluate, qualify, and develop suppliers to ensure best‑in‑class quality, delivery, cost, and risk management.
• Lead commercial negotiations, including long‑term agreements, pricing models, and supplier performance improvements.
• Partner with Engineering, Product Line Management, Manufacturing, Operations, and Quality teams to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
• Lead value engineering initiatives with suppliers to improve manufacturability, product performance, and overall lifecycle cost.
• Monitor supplier performance through KPIs while developing strong, collaborative supplier relationships.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects by ensuring sourcing readiness and supplier capability.
• Proactively manage supply chain risks related to commodity markets, logistics, geopolitical events, and supplier capacity.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve supply chain resilience, operational efficiency, and sustainability.
