Job summary

PHINIA is seeking a skilled engineer to support product approval for aftermarket steering and suspension products. You will collaborate with product line, purchase, supplier quality and external suppliers to plan and execute development and validation activities, ensuring data quality across systems.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, familiarity with automotive aftermarket, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or a related field is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Collate and record product attributes for new range part introductions.
• Maintain BOM data within CCU for new range part introductions and MCIP activities.
• Complete RFC across all new to range product introductions and address technical questions.
• Maintain engineering documents in designated repositories (drawings, validation reports, product images).
• Support engineering with updates to processes and procedures within the quality management system.

JOB PURPOSE

Support product approval of aftermarket steering & suspension product

Work in collaboration with product line, purchase, supplier quality and external suppliers to plan and execute product development and validation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Accountabilities

• Collate and record product attributes within the PADB (Product Attribute Data Base) and CCU (Carsource Catalogue Utility) for all new to range part introductions. Collate & update product data in NPI (New Product Introduction) workflow.
• Collate, record and maintain Bill Of Materials within the CCU (Carsource Catalogue Utility) for all new to range part introductions and MCIP related activities.
• Complete RFC (Request for Product Classification) across all new to range product introductions, support technical questions related to product specification for RFC completion.
• Maintain engineering documents in designated repository's - drawings, design validation reports, product images.
• Support product engineering group with updates and revisions of engineering processes and procedures within the quality management system.

Key Competencies

• BS in Engineering.
• Knowledge and experience of automotive aftermarket is desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills English.
• Must be detail oriented with excellent organization and time management skills with ability to work independently.
• Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• SharePoint document library administration knowledge.
• Ability to routinely work in a hands‑on environment.
