Job summary

UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. seeks an operations supervisor in Turkey to lead Sunrise Export and Import activities and coach frontline teams, ensuring timely shipment execution and service excellence.

The role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage priorities under pressure while complying with customs regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Aviation, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in air cargo, logistics, or gateway operations.
• Proven leadership or supervisory roles.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily Sunrise Export and Import Operations to ensure smooth and timely operational execution.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members to achieve operational targets and maintain high-performance standards.
• Monitor daily operational performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions when required.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, customs regulations, security requirements, and operational procedures.
• Coordinate with internal departments, airline partners, customs authorities, and other stakeholders to resolve operational issues.
• Ensure proper handling and processing of export and import shipments in line with service commitments and operational requirements.
• Monitor workload distribution, resource allocation, and staffing to ensure operational continuity.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and drive initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and service quality.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all health and safety standards.
• Support cost optimization initiatives while maintaining operational excellence.
• Prepare and communicate operational reports, performance metrics, and improvement plans to management.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration across teams to support business objectives.
