Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimise advanced food processing equipment across Turkey and the wider EMEA region. You will travel to customer sites, diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and provide practical guidance to operators.

The role requires reading schematics, strong problem-solving, and a proactive service mindset with significant travel and occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Experience in field service, industrial maintenance, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems with electrical fault-finding capability.
• Experience in food processing or automated industrial equipment is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Fluent Turkish and good English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Valid driving licence and passport required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair activities at customer sites across Turkey and EMEA
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues on advanced processing equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to maximise equipment uptime and operational efficiency
• Support customers with operational, maintenance, and technical guidance
• Deliver training to operators and maintenance teams on equipment operation and best practices
• Prepare accurate service reports, technical documentation, and follow-up recommendations
• Identify spare parts requirements and recommend upgrades or improvements where appropriate
• Collaborate with internal engineering, technical support, and project teams to ensure high-quality service delivery
• Support larger installation and upgrade projects across the EMEA region when required
