Job summary

ZTE Corporation in Türkiye is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of DWDM projects across the full lifecycle, from bid support through delivery, invoicing, and payment collection. The role requires strong project management, engineering, commercial, and customer relationship skills, with deep knowledge of DWDM technologies and telecommunications networks.

You will coordinate with engineering, sales, procurement, finance, and partners to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in team management and project delivery, preferably DWDM.
• Proven experience in project management, engineering management, DWDM network planning, or turnkey telecom projects.
• Previous project management experience with Türk Telekom or in Türk Telekom projects is highly preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of DWDM technologies and related networks (Regional Networks, SDH).
• Good knowledge of local engineering design, implementation, material standards, specs, and acceptance procedures.
• Excellent project planning, organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in both English and Turkish.

Responsibilities

• Support DWDM project bidding activities with engineering solutions, implementation plans, resource requirements, and cost estimates.
• Support contract negotiations and define scope, pricing, acceptance criteria, invoicing, and change terms.
• Manage contracts and relationships with subcontractors and outsourcing partners.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Establish and manage the DWDM delivery team, roles, and workflows.
• Monitor risks, issues, and escalations with timely resolutions.
• Manage DWDM projects per scope, budget, quality, design, and timelines.
• Track milestones and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery following acceptance criteria.
• Ensure successful project acceptance, invoicing, and payment collection.
• Monitor profitability and identify opportunities to optimize costs and margins.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities from existing relationships.
• Coordinate with engineering, sales, procurement, finance, and other functions for end-to-end delivery.

Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects throughout the entire lifecycle, from bid support and contract negotiation through delivery, acceptance, invoicing, and payment collection.

The role requires strong project management, engineering, commercial, and customer relationship management skills, with a solid understanding of DWDM technologies and telecommunications networks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support DWDM project bidding activities by developing professional engineering solutions, project implementation plans, resource requirements, and cost estimates.
• Support contract negotiations with customers and ensure that project scope, responsibilities, pricing, acceptance criteria, invoicing, payment terms, penalties, and change management conditions are clearly defined.
• Manage contracts and relationships with subcontractors and outsourcing partners, ensuring that key project risks and contractual obligations are appropriately managed and transferred where applicable.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure high levels of satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Establish and manage the DWDM project delivery team, including a clear organizational structure, roles and responsibilities, and effective project workflows.
• Monitor and proactively manage project risks, issues, and escalations, ensuring timely resolution of customer concerns and project-related challenges.
• Manage DWDM projects in accordance with approved scope, budget, quality standards, design requirements, and project timelines.
• Monitor project milestones and overall progress, ensuring timely completion and compliance with agreed design and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure successful project acceptance, timely invoicing, and payment collection in line with contractual and financial targets.
• Monitor project profitability and identify opportunities to optimize project costs and improve margins.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities arising from existing customer relationships and project engagements.
• Coordinate effectively with engineering, sales, procurement, finance, and other relevant functions to ensure successful end-to- end project delivery.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in team management and project delivery, preferably within DWDM projects.
• Proven experience in project management, engineering management, DWDM network planning, and/or turnkey telecommunications projects is highly preferred.
• Previous project management experience with Türk Telekom or within projects involving Türk Telekom is highly preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of DWDM technologies and products, with an understanding of related telecommunications networks such as Regional Networks and SDH.
• Good knowledge of local engineering design, implementation, material standards, technical specifications, and acceptance procedures.
• Excellent project planning, organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong customer relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage customer expectations and resolve issues.
• Fluency in both English and Turkish is required.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused, and cross-functional environment.
