Job summary

Etik Danışmanlık Hizmetleri Ltd. Şti. is seeking a senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead development and optimization of new and existing products in our high-tech entertainment projects in Turkey.

You will guide a team of Mechanical Design Engineers and work across engineering disciplines to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions. The role requires advanced CAD skills (NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD), knowledge of sheet metal design, and strong project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of proven mechanical and sheet metal design experience.
• Experience leading Mechanical Design Engineers.
• Expert in Siemens NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD; familiarity with Adams/ANSYS preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken English for technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of new or modified products.
• Refine part designs for quality, cost, dimensions, and functionality.
• Provide technical sales support for international projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies and custom design tasks.
• Improve internal workflows and document validation tests.

General Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Leadership Experience: Have solid experience about leading a few Mechanical Design Engineers with outstanding leadership skills.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in mechanical and sheet metal design.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Advanced expertise in technical drawing standards and interpretation.
• Strong background in application-driven and detailed project management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of materials science, electrical systems, automation, and manufacturing processes.
• Software Skills:
• Expert-level proficiency in SIEMENS NX, SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Preferred: Familiarity with simulation and analysis software such as ADAMS or ANSYS.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of written and verbal English is highly preferred (capable of professional technical communication).

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following core duties:

• Product Development: Lead and execute projects involving modifications to existing products or the end-to-end development of entirely new products.
• Design Optimization: Refine part designs from the conceptual phase through to the final product, ensuring excellence in quality, cost-efficiency, dimensions, and functionality.
• Technical Sales Support: Provide comprehensive technical expertise to the Sales Department regarding products developed for international projects.
• Feasibility & Custom Design: Conduct specialized design studies and feasibility reports to meet specific sales and client demands.
• Process Improvement: Actively contribute to the optimization and continuous improvement of internal company workflows.
• Validation & Documentation: Execute mechanical/structural testing and validation protocols.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, assembly guides, and integration documentation.
• Manufacturing Oversight: Assess the manufacturability of designed components and monitor production phases when necessary.
• Evaluate and resolve any non-conformities arising during the production or operational stages.
• Reporting & ERP Management: Utilize ERP Project Management modules to conduct cost analyses and provide strategic reports to senior management.
• Communication: Represent the technical team by conducting presentations and participating in technical discussions in English during business meetings.
