Job summary

SAMSON Türkiye is seeking a Cost and General Accounting Specialist to own cost management and financial reporting for our manufacturing operations. You will work with Production, Purchasing, and Planning to align cost data across the supply chain and ensure timely compliance with tax obligations.

The role requires strong analytical skills, ERP experience (Canias ERP preferred), and advanced Excel/Power BI capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Proficient in ERP cost modules (Canias ERP preferred).
• Advanced MS Excel and Power BI skills.
• Knowledge of Turkish tax legislation (BOBI FRS preferred).
• English proficiency at level B1 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and report unit costs per product.
• Track costs for raw materials, semi-finished and finished goods.

Job Title: Cost and General Accounting Specialist

About the Role

We are going through an exciting organizational and digital transformation at SAMSON Türkiye. To support this growth, we are looking for a highly analytical and driven Cost and General Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team. In this role, you will take true ownership of our cost management and financial reporting, ensuring our manufacturing operations remain financially optimized. You will work closely with cross-functional departments, playing a critical role in strategic decision-making and gaining a comprehensive view of the financial engine behind a global industrial company.

What You Will Do:

• Calculate, update, and comprehensively report unit costs on a per-product basis.
• Track and control the costs associated with raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished products.
• Establish and manage cost center structures and execute accurate expense allocations.
• Analyze inventory movements and perform thorough inventory valuations.
• Prepare tax returns and ensure all legal and statutory obligations are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Create dynamic, periodic management reports utilizing MS Excel and Power BI.
• Actively coordinate with the Production, Purchasing, and Planning departments to ensure absolute alignment on cost data across the supply chain.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and current legislation, seamlessly integrating updates into the company's financial processes.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
• Strong command of general accounting principles and end-to-end processes.
• Proficiency in using ERP system cost modules (Experience with Canias ERP is a strong advantage).
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, with a high level of proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
• Solid understanding of Turkish tax legislation (Knowledge of BOBİ FRS is preferred).
• Holding a CPA (SMMM) license, currently pursuing the certification, or possessing a clear career goal in this direction.
• Minimum B1 level in English; you must be comfortable reading, writing, and speaking in professional contexts.
• Highly analytical thinker who is detail-oriented, takes strong responsibility, and owns their work.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong aptitude for cross-functional teamwork.
• Military service completed (for male candidates).
• Residing in European side of Istanbul
