Job summary

Çalık Enerji is seeking a Civil Group Chief for the Erbil Wastewater Treatment Plant Project. The role requires extensive on-site management of civil works, coordination of subcontractors, and rigorous reporting to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

The candidate should hold a Civil Engineering degree with 15+ years in industrial projects and 5+ years in wastewater plant construction, plus strong English and willingness to travel. Iraq experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable university.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in industrial projects.
• At least 5 years of proven experience in wastewater treatment plant construction.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete works, infrastructure, and plant construction practices.
• Extensive on-site (construction) management and supervision experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and construction management tools.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel.
• Advanced level of English (written and spoken).
• Experience in Iraq is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily site civil works for the project.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and construction teams to ensure project progress.
• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, safety, and quality standards.
• Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Ensure proper implementation of reinforced concrete, infrastructure, and finishing works on-site.
• Resolve technical and construction-related issues in coordination with the project management team.
• Support QA/QC and HSE teams in achieving compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in planning and scheduling of civil works to align with overall project timelines.
