Qualifikationen

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to influence a large internal/external network.
• Deep understanding of industry, strong analytics, and presentation skills.
• Technical capability to understand purchases deeply; adaptability and leadership across topics.

Aufgaben

• Interface with the category manager to collect ETO specs, define criteria and contribute to strategy segmentation.
• Contribute and implement the SOC strategy within the cluster perimeter.
• Lead category APOP with Global Category & Plant, and drive supplier development with Global category & SLD.
• Negotiate global framework agreements with suppliers and drive savings opportunities.
• Develop and ensure supplier readiness and capacity to deliver on G ETO growth; manage supplier base and achievement of KPIs.
• Coordinate with Customer Project Buyers on key projects to improve cost competitiveness.

We are looking for a Category Buyer in fast-changing & dynamic organization responsible for performing activities within Procurement Department.

What will you do?

The role is part of the Central Procurement organization, based in Manisa, in the SET Manisa Plant. The role will manage the relationship between Schneider & the suppliers.

Category Buyer will act as the main SPOC of the suppliers under his/her responsibility, leading business continuity, driving strategy, supplier base development and optimization, and enhancing digital and sustainable with the supplier and their supply chain.

What is the purpose of the Category Buyer role in the Schneider Electric ETO (Engineering to Order) organization?

This role has the key interface with the plant covering procurement activities and suppliers’ management:

• Interface with the category manager to collect ETO specifications, specify the qualification criteria and contribute to the segmentation of the strategy
• Contribute and implement the strategy (SOC) in the cluster perimeter
• Taking the category strategies into account, you will build & drive the category APOP (Annual Procurement Operational Plan) validated by Global Category & Plant.
• By cooperating with the Global category & SLD and quality team, you will build the supplier development plan and support its deployment from the supplier side
• Negotiate global frame agreements with suppliers
• Initiate and drive breakthrough (make or buy, rebalancing, SBO, innovation…) on the category incl. following the advancement
• Develop supplier competitiveness and assess the quality level. React to deviations.
• Ensure supplier readiness, supplier capacity to deliver on G ETO growth
• Organize lesson learnt per category (multi-supplier approach). Return of Experience on key projects or on the ETO dimension.
• Secure Supplier competitiveness and upstream readiness on the category perimeter and the performance on the negotiation lever
• Improve DTDD – DPO with suppliers to drive Cash
• Create, manage and track all productivity actions in a dedicated tool (iSave)
• Raise and address "cluster" supplier quality of service and business continuity
• Business Continuity first level for escalation
• Support PPM and Group Manager on SRM strategy (Sponsorship, C2P, Business review)
• Supplier base next generation, supplier selection connected with Category Strategy
• Coordination with Customer Project Buyers on key projects and opportunities, supporting cost competitiveness to win the business profitably

What qualifications will make you successful?

• Engineering bachelor's degree Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Material and Metallurgical Engineering (Master degree is plus).
• Min 3 years' experience in Procurement Management skills: capable of defining strategy, animating a team, convincing and influencing the stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Be able to navigate in a complex environment and organization, connect with people and create strong networking
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convince & influence a large network of internal/external stakeholders.
