Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in Turkey to produce design documents, schemes and drawings for ATO/ETO/MTS projects, ensuring a complete information package for production of switchgear and substation lines.

You will generate CoE for IEC MV gear, verify specs, design wiring schemes with EPLAN, create BoM in SAP, and support manufacturing with continuous improvement and cross‑functional coordination.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Electrical/Electrical Electronics/Power System/Energy Systems.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in similar roles.

Responsibilities

• Customer Order Engineering for IEC MV gear and switchgears.
• Ensure completeness of specifications and request additional info if needed.
• Electrical wiring schemes and primary/secondary drawings using EPLAN.
• Create BoM and product configuration in SAP.
• Prepare manufacturing data for cable harnesses and WO creation.
• Support production and assembly with feasibility, costs and materials.
• Contribute to continuous improvement via A3 and 5Why methodologies.
• Coordinate with application/electrical/ordering teams on technical matters.
• Document activities per procedures and reflect ERP changes with Change Management.

What You’ll Do

As an Electrical Design Engineer ,you will be providing design document and schemes and technical drawings with taking care of the work preparation for ATO, ETO and / or MTS projects, in accordance with applicable procedures and guidelines, so that the information package for production (assembly and inspection) is available on time for Switchgear and Substation product lines.

• Customer Order Engineering (CoE) for IEC medium voltage power distribution & control switchgears
• Ensure received information from customer specifications, application, mechanical and electrical engineering completeness and if necessary, discuss and / or request additional information
• Electrical wiring scheme & primary/secondary drawings design with EPLAN software
• Creating BoM and Making product configuration in SAP
• Manufacturing data for cable bundle/harness from 2D & 3D, creating cable bundle WO (work orders), supporting production & communitacion with assembly stations
• Continuous improvement activities, problem solving with A3 & 5Why's methodologies, attending Tier meetings and GEMBA walks, cost-out improvements
• Advising and offering technical support to various internal departments like assembly with regard to mechanical and / or electrical implementation, feasibility, costs and availability of materials.
• Compiling an information package for production (assembly and testing): electrical plans supplemented with mechanical drawings, where necessary with instructions.
• Checking the availability of digital information on the network for production assembly (drawings, diagrams and customer specifications).
• Starting up purchase order recommendations and ERP approvals for the orders to be executed.
• Is a team member for order projects: proactively communicates with all stakeholders involved (application engineering, electrical engineering, order management, planning, supply chain and assembly) on both technical matters and process, planning related matters. Pro-actively communicates feasibility and progress of work within the required quality, timing and budget deadlines.
• Document all activities, data and information in line with procedures.
• Communication person with Change Management and R&D teams to reflect modification on ERP

Qualifications

• Electrical, Electrical Electronics, Power System, Energy Systems B.Sc.
• Min 2 years experience in similar positions

Skills

• Power System, Medium Voltage & Low Voltage distribution, Basic engineering calculations & electrical components know-how
• Turkish (v/w), English (v/w) and other languages will be preferential
