Job summary

Arkas Bunker in Izmir seeks an experienced Sales & Trading Manager to lead bunker sales and trading activities, expand the customer portfolio, and support growth objectives. You will manage the bunker trading team, develop commercial strategies, strengthen customer relationships, and ensure profitable trading across global markets.

Requirements include 7–10 years in bunker trading, 3+ years of people management, English fluency, and a willingness to relocate to Izmir.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Economics, International Trade, Logistics or related disciplines.
• 7–10 years of bunker trading, maritime services, fuel trading or commodity trading experience.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in commercial negotiations and business development.
• Knowledge of bunker trading, shipping operations, marine fuels and port requirements.
• Willing to relocate to Izmir or reside there.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the Sales & Trading team to achieve commercial and operational targets.
• Define and execute bunker sales and trading strategies in line with company objectives.
• Manage key customer accounts and develop long-term relationships with ship owners, operators, charterers and partners.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer portfolio domestically and internationally.
• Negotiate bunker transactions and commercial agreements to maximize profitability and market share.
• Monitor market trends, fuel prices, competitor activities and regulatory developments.
• Oversee post-fixture and operational processes for timely bunker delivery.
• Work with logistics, operations, finance and risk management teams to ensure seamless trades.
• Prepare sales forecasts, market analyses, profitability reports and management presentations.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Drive process improvements, data quality and reporting accuracy across all trading activities.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and partners globally.
