BIW Process Engineer — Welding Dimensional Excellence

Job summary

CATL is seeking an experienced Process Engineer (BIW) for our Bursa facility in Türkiye. You will monitor, analyze, and improve BIW dimensional pass rates, lead CMM data analysis, and drive tooling accuracy on the welding line.

The role requires 5+ years in automotive welding dimensional engineering, strong GD&T and CMM know-how, and frequent collaboration with OEMs. Travel to overseas sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical/Automotive disciplines or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in automotive welding dimensional engineering, incl. 2 complete program experiences.
• Strong knowledge of BIW welding processes, dimensional chain analysis and GD&T.
• Able to develop CMM measurement plans and prepare dimensional analysis reports.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve dimensional pass rate of BIW welding; analyze CMM data and optimize measurement points.
• Review fixturing and tooling locating schemes; diagnose deviations and ensure accuracy on floor.
• Conduct root cause analysis of dimensional issues in mass production and implement corrective actions.
• Interface with OEMs on dimensional standards and drive continuous improvement of the dimensional system.
