Job summary

Constantia Propak is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to own the company’s accounting operations, strengthen compliance and lead a growing team in Istanbul.

You will manage month-, quarter-, and year-end closes in line with Turkish statutory requirements, coordinate external audits, and drive process improvements across finance. English proficiency is required for cross-border collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years accounting and finance experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or team leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish statutory accounting, tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, including financial closing, tax filings, VAT refunds and external audits.
• Hands-on SAP FI experience and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Good understanding of import and export accounting processes.
• Experience managing, developing and motivating accounting teams.
• Professional working proficiency in English and the ability to work effectively with international stakeholders.
• Strong analytical thinking, planning, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• SMMM certification, multinational manufacturing experience and finance transformation exposure are considered advantages.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations and ensure the accuracy, completeness and integrity of financial records.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes in compliance with Turkish statutory requirements and Group reporting deadlines.
• Oversee accounting activities related to sales, purchasing, operating expenses, banking transactions, imports, exports, foreign currency transactions, fixed assets and period-end adjustments.
• Review balance sheet accounts and ensure timely reconciliations of customer, supplier, intercompany and general ledger accounts.
• Ensure compliance with Turkish tax legislation, statutory requirements and company policies, including tax declarations and VAT refund processes.
• Coordinate external audits, tax audits and certification processes while maintaining a strong internal control environment.
• Lead, coach and develop the accounting team, ensuring effective workload planning and professional growth.
• Drive process standardization, automation and continuous improvement initiatives across accounting and finance operations.
• Collaborate with local and international stakeholders, including Group Accounting, Division Finance and shared service teams.
