Job summary

Gravity Trade in Türkiye is seeking a highly experienced Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function for a fast-growing international trading company. You will ensure accuracy, compliance and integrity of statutory reporting, while strengthening processes and ERP-based operations.

The ideal candidate has expert Turkish accounting and tax knowledge, international company experience, strong English, and modern ERP capability.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of Turkish accounting and tax legislation.
• Strong English communication (written and spoken).
• Experience with statutory reporting, monthly/year-end closing and reconciliations.
• Experience with inventory and multi-currency accounting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations and ensure compliance with Turkish accounting, tax and statutory requirements (VUK, TFRS where applicable, e-Ledger, e-Invoice, e-Archive).
• Manage accurate and timely monthly and year-end closing.
• Ensure proper accounting of purchases, sales, inventory, imports/exports, FX transactions, accruals, fixed assets and intercompany transactions.
• Own balance-sheet, bank, customer, supplier, inventory and intercompany reconciliations.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of VAT, withholding, corporate tax and other statutory declarations.
• Coordinate statutory audits, tax reviews and external accounting/tax advisors.
• Maintain strong internal accounting controls, documentation and audit trails.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, ensuring clear responsibilities and high-quality execution.
• Support the development and automation of accounting processes within Microsoft Dynamics ERP.
• Ensure alignment between Turkish statutory accounting and Group/international reporting requirements.

Candidate Profile Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant accounting experience, including senior accounting responsibility.
• Expert knowledge of Turkish accounting and tax legislation.
• Strong experience in statutory reporting, closing, reconciliations and audit.
• Experience with inventory and multi-currency accounting.
• Strong professional English, both written and spoken.
• Strong ERP and accounting systems experience.

Preferred

• Experience in international trading, FMCG, commodities, import/export or distribution.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance experience.
• IFRS / international reporting experience.
• Experience working within an international Group structure.
• Knowledge or experience of Russian accounting/reporting systems.
• SMMM qualification or equivalent professional certification.
