Job summary

Just Moya Trading & Contracting in Istanbul, Turkiye seeks a detail-oriented Accountant to manage daily accounting activities, including AP, AR, supplier payments, client invoicing, bank transactions, and reconciliations.

The role collaborates with Procurement, Projects, Logistics, and Management to support cost tracking, budgeting, and financial reporting across trading and contracting projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in trading, contracting, construction, MEP, or project-based company.
• Experience with AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP software.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping transactions.
• Process supplier invoices, purchase invoices, payment requests, and payment entries.
• Prepare and maintain Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) records.
• Prepare client invoices and follow up on outstanding receivables and overdue payments.
• Maintain and regularly update Statements of Account (SOA) for clients and suppliers.
• Perform bank, cash, supplier, and customer account reconciliations.
• Record local and international supplier payments accurately.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Project teams regarding supplier payments and project expenses.
• Assist with payroll-related accounting when required.
• Support compliance with Turkiye accounting, tax, and company requirements.

• Process supplier invoices, purchase invoices, payment requests, and payment entries.
• Prepare and maintain Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) records.

• Verify invoices against LPOs/POs, quotations, delivery notes, and supporting documents before payment processing.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Project teams regarding supplier payments, advances, retention, and project-related expenses.
• Monitor advance payments to suppliers and ensure proper settlement against subsequent invoices.
• Maintain project-wise cost and expense records.
• Assist in monitoring project budgets, procurement costs, and actual expenditures.
• Prepare payment vouchers, receipt vouchers, journal vouchers, debit notes, and credit notes.
• Maintain petty cash records and verify supporting documentation.
• Record and reconcile related-party transactions where applicable.
• Assist with monthly closing and preparation of management reports.
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documents for audit purposes.
• Assist with payroll, employee advances, leave deductions, and other payroll-related accounting when required.
• Support compliance with applicable Turkiye accounting, tax, and company requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers, clients, and other external parties when required.
• Perform other accounting and finance duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a Trading, Contracting, Construction, MEP, or Project-based company.
• Good knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and bank reconciliation.
• Experience handling supplier payments, client invoicing, SOAs, purchase orders, and project expenses.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with accounting/ERP software.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial documentation.
• Ability to handle multiple projects, suppliers, and transactions simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of Turkiye payroll procedures is an advantage.
