Job summary

Just Moya Trading & Contracting in Istanbul, Turkiye is seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer to drive technical procurement and international sourcing for trading and contracting projects.

You will review RFQs, evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, issue purchase orders, and coordinate delivery with cross-functional teams across the project lifecycle. Strong Excel skills and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Industrial engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of procurement experience in trading, contracting, MEP, construction or engineering sectors.
• Strong knowledge of technical procurement and supplier sourcing.
• Experience sourcing from local and international manufacturers/suppliers.
• Ability to read BOQs, technical specifications, drawings and datasheets.
• Strong negotiation and commercial evaluation skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Strong organizational skills for handling multiple RFQs.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, BOQs, drawings and specifications.
• Source local and international manufacturers and suppliers.
• Prepare and issue RFQs and obtain competitive quotations.

• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and warranties.

The role will support procurement across a broad range of products including MEP materials, electrical and power equipment, cables and telecommunications products, piping systems, architectural and building materials, industrial equipment, machinery, and fit-out materials.

About the Role

The Procurement Engineer will be responsible for technical procurement, international sourcing, supplier evaluation, quotation analysis, negotiations, purchase order processing, and delivery coordination for our Trading and Contracting projects.

The role will support procurement across a broad range of products including MEP materials, electrical and power equipment, cables and telecommunications products, piping systems, architectural and building materials, industrial equipment, machinery, and fit-out materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, BOQs, drawings, specifications, datasheets, and other project requirements.
• Source suitable manufacturers and suppliers locally and internationally.
• Prepare and issue RFQs and obtain competitive technical and commercial quotations.
• Perform technical and commercial comparison of supplier offers.
• Ensure proposed materials comply with project specifications, approved brands, standards, and client requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
• Prepare purchase recommendations and coordinate the issuance of Purchase Orders/LPOs.
• Coordinate with Project, Engineering, Finance, Logistics, and Management teams throughout the procurement cycle.
• Follow up with suppliers on production, documentation, inspection, shipping, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor procurement schedules and proactively identify potential delays or supply risks.
• Support value engineering and cost optimization by identifying technically compliant and commercially competitive alternatives.
• Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and international suppliers.
• Maintain an updated supplier database and support supplier evaluation and qualification.
• Verify technical submittals, material certificates, catalogues, compliance statements, and other procurement documentation.
• Coordinate international shipments and required documentation with the logistics team.
• Maintain complete procurement records, quotation comparisons, approvals, purchase orders, and supplier correspondence.
• Support tendering and estimation teams by obtaining quotations and identifying suitable suppliers for new projects.

The position is particularly important to Just Moya's operations because the company manages procurement from sourcing and vendor coordination through quality verification, shipping, customs support, and final delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferable within Trading, Contracting, MEP, Construction, or Engineering companies.
• Strong knowledge of technical procurement and supplier sourcing.
• Experience sourcing from local and international manufacturers/suppliers.
• Ability to understand BOQs, technical specifications, drawings, datasheets, and material requirements.
• Strong negotiation and commercial evaluation skills.
• Experience preparing quotation comparisons and procurement recommendations.
• Good understanding of international purchasing, Incoterms, shipping, and logistics procedures.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple RFQs and purchase requirements simultaneously.
• Existing network of MEP, electrical, mechanical, construction, or industrial suppliers is an advantage.

Preferred Product Experience

• Candidates with procurement experience involving fire fighting and plumbing materials, HVAC materials, generators, transformers, UPS systems, electrical materials, power/control cables, fiber optic and telecommunication products, lighting, mechanical supports, industrial equipment, architectural materials, and related construction products will be preferred, as these align closely with Just Moya's trading activities.
