Meranti Power Pte Ltd (“MP”), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Energy Market Authority, is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to support the operations of a new power generation station on Jurong Island. We invite applications for the position of Safety, Security, Health and Environment (SSHE) Officer/Executive, who will report to the Head, SSHE.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor the SSHE Management Systems, including policies and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Ensure all personnel comply with the company’s SSHE requirements.
Organise and conduct SSHE-related activities, training, and awareness programs for employees.
Develop and maintain administrative records, including SSHE audits, reports, and certifications.
Develop and periodically review the Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan to address evolving risks.
Plan and conduct drills related to site safety, occupational health, environmental protection, fire prevention, and emergency response.
Provide expert advice on SSHE strategies, initiatives, and improvements.
Procure and manage security agency services in alignment with security protocols, including regular reviews of security processes, systems, and compliance with legislative and industry standards.
Requirements
Education in a relevant field.
Registration as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower is an added advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Professional knowledge of HSE legislation and standards.
Experience in the power/energy sector is an added advange.
Willingness to work on Jurong Island (morning transportation provided from multiple pick-up points across Singapore).
