Key accountabilities:

Responsible for developing reference architecture, solution architecture, related standards, architecture patterns, and partnering with IT and business stakeholders to create business value across the value chain.

Understand business requirements

• Develop an understanding of the customer business, expectations, constraints, and opportunities.
• Participate in technical analysis and architectural workshops with client architects, program management, business/technical analysts to translate new opportunities into full lifecycle product components and strategize their project implementations.
• Understand Alstom enterprise architecture, products, and practices.
• Identify key stakeholders and create a strong working network.

Design the solution architecture

• Analyze and evaluate existing architecture and prescribe new technology upgrades and architectural solutions on cloud/on-premise platforms.
• Design solution architectures that fulfill business requirements.
• Enable development and growth of products through proof-of-concept.
• Leverage new partners and technologies to build innovative and competitive solutions.
• Drive compatibility, interoperability, stability, and usability of recommended solution architecture.
• Support the team in business proposals.
• Perform systems modeling, simulation, and analysis to ensure the soundness of new solutions.
• Analyze the impact of a solution on the client's overall business processes and systems to mitigate risks.

Develop technical roadmaps and support solution implementations.

• Design and lead the setup of new development and production environments for development teams.
• Assist the development team in end-to-end development, testing, and implementation of solutions.
• Support risk identification and develop risk mitigation strategies related to solutions.

Implementation

• Foster continuous improvements in design processes, models, and approaches.
• Support analysis of the functionality and constraints of recommended solutions/changes across multiple systems, platforms, and applications.
• Develop architectural frameworks for innovative products.
• Support clients in resolving technical issues.

Contribute to the Innovation strategy of the company

• Build industry expertise and contribute to Alstom's innovation strategy.
• Recommend adoption of new technologies and applications to optimize existing solutions.
• Scout and test new solutions available on the market.
• Grow the Innovation Station ecosystem with new local partnerships and open R&D projects.

Mandatory requirements:

• 5 to 10 years of experience in IT, digital companies, software, or startups.
• Extensive experience in data and software architecture design and development.
• Experience with data modeling, MLOps, and DevOps including Docker and Ansible.
• Experience with Git and release management.
• Strong customer-centric approach, analytical mindset, and business acumen.
• Knowledge of agile practices.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced team environment.

Desirable skills:

• Experience in Innovation/R&D teams on new product development with fast-tracking.
• Good understanding of the Apache open-source ecosystem.
• Experience with AIML and Big Data technologies like Jupyter Notebook, Hadoop, PySpark, HIVE.
• Experience with common data science toolkits.
