Job summary

FU LIN TOU FU YUEN PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced ZI CHAR WOK Chef to support the Head Chef in a busy Chinese kitchen. You will lead the team, ensure food quality, and help maintain smooth kitchen operations.

You will supervise and train junior staff, oversee stock rotation, and ensure hygiene and safety standards are met. 6 days a week, 12-hour shifts, salary S$3,300–S$3,600 per month.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in Chinese cuisine kitchens, including supervisory experience.
• Strong wok, cutting and cooking skills.
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good leadership and teamwork.
• Food Safety Course Level 1 certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
• Prepare and cook Chinese dishes to the restaurant's recipes and standards.
• Supervise and train junior kitchen staff.
• Oversee stock rotation and ordering.
• Ensure food hygiene and safety standards (SFA requirements) are met at all times.
• Lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
• Help with menu development and costing.
