• Strong monitoring and evaluation skills for programme improvement.
• Ability to assess needs and develop appropriate case and intervention plans.
• Ability to facilitate group work and adapt approaches to student needs.
• Team player, organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple programmes.
• Demonstrates professional judgement, discretion and sensitivity with students.

Responsibilities

Youth Worker

The Youth Worker will attend to and support student cases, providing appropriate guidance, counselling, and engagement activities.

The personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills an experience:

• A Diploma in Social or Youth work or any equivalent qualification;
• At least two years of relevant experience in social work or youth work, preferably in a school or community setting.
• Ability to develop, customise and deliver evidence-informed youth programmes that address students’ needs and interests.
• Ability to engage students and build effective partnerships with teachers, school leaders, parents and external agencies as part of a multi-disciplinary support network..
• Strong programme monitoring and evaluation skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement.
• Ability to assess students’ needs and develop appropriate case, care and intervention plans.
• Ability to facilitate group work and support groups, and adapt intervention approaches according to students’ needs.
• A strong team player who is organised, adaptable and able to manage multiple students, programmes and competing priorities effectively.
• Demonstrates sound professional judgement, discretion and sensitivity when engaging with students and handling confidential or sensitive matters.
