Job summary

GA CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a Safety, Health and Environment Coordinator to assist WSHEO in enforcing WSH requirements and in-house policies. You will identify unsafe acts, conduct toolbox and coordination meetings, and ensure permits are applied before work begins.

The role requires an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health, at least 3 years with a main-contractor, good knowledge of the WSH Act, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Possess an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a WSHC role with Main-Contractor.
• Good knowledge of Workplace Safety & Health Act.
• Advantage to have other relevant certifications.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and have initiative.
• 6-day work week.
• Remuneration package shall commensurate with qualification and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist WSHEO in enforcing all WSH requirements, legislative requirements as well as in-house policies
• Identify and rectify all unsafe acts or conditions in the workplace
• Conduct Toolbox Meeting/WeeklyCoordination Meeting/Monthly Safety Meeting with relevant stakeholders
• Ensure all necessary permits are applied and approved prior to start of work
• Conduct Safety Induction for required personnel
• Liaise with all stakeholders to initiate submission of necessary documents before entry to site
• Assist WSHO in preparing, reviewing and maintaining necessary documents eg. RA, SWP, Risk Register etc
• Engage and conduct regular activities to promote and educate site personnel on safety and health issues.
• Ensure all plants and machinery are equipped with valid Certifications and in good working condition
• Conduct regular site walks and inspections to ensure compliance with site policies
• Ad-hoc matters deemed necessary for project progression
