Job summary

CHINA STATE CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING CORPORATION LIMITED SINGAPORE BRANCH is seeking a Safety Officer to uphold WSH and MOM regulations on-site in Singapore.

You will lead safety inspections, conduct toolbox talks, manage reports, and coordinate with site teams to maintain safe, clean worksites and ensure procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Building and Construction.
• Proactive with excellent interpersonal skills and analytical ability.
• Ability to work under pressures in a fast pace environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all operations comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) and Environmental Control regulations, as well as relevant statutory requirements.
• Follow up on site walk inspection findings raised by the Safety Committee and support the WSH Officer in closing out reports, including assistance in incident and accident investigations.
• Ensure daily safety checklists are properly completed and documented, and conduct mass toolbox meetings on a weekly basis.
• Coordinate with relevant site personnel to continuously improve worksite safety standards and site cleanliness.
• Ensure supervisors and workers strictly adhere to approved safe work procedures.
• Assist the WSH Officer in organizing monthly Safety Committee meetings and preparing safety-related reports, including the tracking of safety issues.
• Compile and maintain all relevant safety records and reports, and conduct daily site safety inspections.
• Supervise workers to ensure safety measures and procedures are implemented in accordance with MOM regulations.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

REQUIREMENT

• Possess an Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health.
• Min. 2 years relevant experience in Building and Construction Industry
• Proactive with excellent interpersonal skills and analytical ability
• Ability to work under pressures in a fast pace environment
• Experience in HDB/JTC/Building & Commercial/Mix Development will be advantageous.

5days with Alternate Saturday.
