Job summary

RICH CONSTRUCTION COMPANY is seeking a Safety Officer to ensure compliance with WSH and MOM regulations on site in Singapore. You will support the WSH Officer, close out inspection reports, and conduct daily safety inspections to maintain high safety standards.

This role involves coordinating weekly toolbox talks and safety meetings with site personnel. Candidates should hold an Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health, with a minimum of 2 years in the building and construction sector.

Qualifications

• Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health.
• Min. 2 years relevant experience in Building and Construction Industry
• Proactive with excellent interpersonal skills and analytical ability
• Ability to work under pressures in a fast pace environment
• Experience in HDB/JTC/Building & Commercial/Mix Development will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all operations comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) and Environmental Control regulations, as well as relevant statutory requirements.
• Follow up on site walk inspection findings raised by the Safety Committee and support the WSH Officer in closing out reports, including assistance in incident and accident investigations.
• Ensure daily safety checklists are properly completed and documented, and conduct mass toolbox meetings on a weekly basis.
• Coordinate with relevant site personnel to continuously improve worksite safety standards and site cleanliness.
• Ensure supervisors and workers strictly adhere to approved safe work procedures.
• Assist the WSH Officer in organizing monthly Safety Committee meetings and preparing safety-related reports, including the tracking of safety issues.
• Compile and maintain all relevant safety records and reports, and conduct daily site safety inspections.
• Supervise workers to ensure safety measures and procedures are implemented in accordance with MOM regulations.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
