Job summary

CHINA CONSTRUCTION (SOUTH PACIFIC) DEVELOPMENT CO. PTE. LTD. is seeking a Safety Officer to ensure WSH compliance and oversee on-site safety across building projects in Singapore. You will follow up on inspections, assist in incident investigations, and conduct weekly toolbox talks.

The role requires an Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health, a minimum of 2 years in construction, and strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Experience with HDB/JTC projects is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Building and Construction Industry.
• Proactive with excellent interpersonal skills and analytical ability.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in HDB/JTC/Building & Commercial/Mix Development advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operations comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) and Environmental Control regulations and statutory requirements.
• Follow up on site inspection findings raised by the Safety Committee and assist in closing out reports, including incident investigations.
• Ensure daily safety checklists are properly completed and documented; conduct weekly toolbox talks.
• Coordinate with site personnel to continuously improve worksite safety standards and site cleanliness.
• Ensure supervisors and workers adhere to approved safe work procedures.
• Assist the WSH Officer in organizing monthly Safety Committee meetings and preparing safety reports.
• Compile and maintain safety records and conduct daily site safety inspections.
• Supervise workers to ensure safety measures and MOM regulations are followed.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Scope

• Follow up on site walk inspection findings raised by the Safety Committee and support the WSH Officer in closing out reports, including assistance in incident and accident investigations.


• Ensure daily safety checklists are properly completed and documented, and conduct mass toolbox meetings on a weekly basis.


• Coordinate with relevant site personnel to continuously improve worksite safety standards and site cleanliness.


• Ensure supervisors and workers strictly adhere to approved safe work procedures.


• Assist the WSH Officer in organizing monthly Safety Committee meetings and preparing safety-related reports, including the tracking of safety issues.


• Compile and maintain all relevant safety records and reports, and conduct daily site safety inspections.


• Supervise workers to ensure safety measures and procedures are implemented in accordance with MOM regulations.


• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Job Requirement

• Possess an Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health.
