Job summary

China Construction(South Pacific) Development Company Pte Ltd is seeking a Safety Officer to ensure site workers follow approved safety procedures, and to support the WSH Officer with monthly committee meetings and reporting.

The role involves daily site safety inspections, maintaining safety records, and coordinating with site personnel to raise safety standards while ensuring MOM regulations are met. Experience in Building/Construction is preferred and weekend alt Saturday work may be required.

Qualifications

• Possess an Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health.
• Min. 2 years relevant experience in Building and Construction Industry
• Proactive with excellent interpersonal skills and analytical ability
• Ability to work under pressures in a fast pace environment
• Experience in HDB / Building will be advantageous.
• Alt Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Ensure supervisors and workers strictly adhere to approved safe work procedures.
• Assist the WSH Officer in organizing monthly Safety Committee meetings and preparing safety-related reports, including the tracking of safety issues.
• Compile and maintain all relevant safety records and reports, and conduct daily site safety inspections.
• Supervise workers to ensure safety measures and procedures are implemented in accordance with MOM regulations.
• Coordinate with relevant site personnel to continuously improve worksite safety standards and site cleanliness.
• Ensure daily safety checklists are properly completed and documented, and conduct mass toolbox meetings on a weekly basis.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
