Job summary

Megawatts Engineering Services Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to oversee daily workshop operations in Singapore. Lead a team of technicians/fitters, manage workflow and resources, and ensure jobs are completed on time and within budget.

You will supervise machining, assembly, repair and servicing of rotating machinery, motors and generators, while enforcing safety and quality standards on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a workshop team and coordinating tasks.
• Knowledge of machining, assembly, repair and servicing of rotating machinery, motors and generators.
• Familiar with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.
• Ability to perform quality checks and inspections.
• Experience in inventory management and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and supervise daily workshop activities for machining, assembly, repair and servicing of rotating machinery, motors and generators.
• Allocate manpower, tools and resources to meet deadlines.
• Monitor job progress to meet customer requirements and quality standards.
• Ensure timely availability of materials, parts and equipment.
• Troubleshoot technical issues on the shop floor and provide hands-on guidance.
• Supervise, train and mentor workshop technicians and fitters.
• Handle performance evaluations and identify skill gaps; coordinate on-the-job training.
• Manage manpower scheduling, attendance and overtime arrangements.
• Enforce discipline, productivity standards and SOP adherence.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health regulations.
