Job description

Headquartered in Singapore, Jurong Port is a leading international multipurpose port operator. Established in 1965, the port initially served Singapore’s Jurong Industrial Estate. Jurong Port has since expanded to serve as Singapore’s main general and bulk cargo gateway.

Jurong Port’s multipurpose port operating expertise includes efficient handling of general, bulk and containerized cargo, management and operations of the Tuas Offshore Marine Centre, and Lighter Terminals in Penjuru and Marina South. Besides Singapore, Jurong Port is involved in overseas joint ventures in China and Indonesia. In 2016, Jurong Port’s local and overseas terminals handled close to 35 million tons of general and bulk cargo, and 560,000 TEUs of container cargo.

The Job

  • Responsible for port safety standards.

  • Establish and manage WSH targets.

  • Develop and execute programmes/projects to drive proactive safety culture.

  • Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of programmes/projects.

  • Upkeep WSH Management Systems to align with JP context and requirements.

  • Track progress, provide timely updates of targets, programmes and projects.

  • Any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirement

  • Fresh graduates are welcomed.

  • Min Diploma in Health, Safety and Environmental or related discipline.

  • Registered WSHO and FSM. Registered ECO (Specific) will be an added advantage.

  • At least 3 years as registered WSHO with relevant hands-on experience such as port operations, logistics, construction, shipyard etc.

  • Expert level on relevant legislations/standards. Must demonstrate practical applications.

  • Min. ISO 45001 certified internal auditor.

  • Experience in project management is a bonus.

  • Self-starter, take initiatives to deliver high standard and quality of works.

  • Ability to work with diverse group of people i.e., ops, tech, contractors.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Possess good oral communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Good verbal and written of English language.

  • Organized and details oriented.

  • Valid Singapore’s class 3 driver license.
