Job summary

Peoplebank Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Wintel Engineer to support and maintain enterprise Windows infrastructure in a large organisation. This contract role is based in Central Singapore and covers daily operations, incident troubleshooting, RCA, and ensuring high availability of systems with business impact.

Requirements include Windows Server administration (2003/2008/2012+), Active Directory, GPOs, clustering, VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, and backup solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise Windows Server environments (2003/2008/2012+).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Clustering is mandatory.
• Proficient in Active Directory, GPOs, and backup solutions.
• Familiar with VMware vSphere and Hyper-V administration.
• ITIL Foundation or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain Windows-based infrastructure according to business requirements.
• Manage Windows Server OS installations, patching, and security hardening.
• Troubleshoot Windows OS incidents and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Support Active Directory administration including GPOs and user profile management.
• Manage Windows Clustering, VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, and virtual machines.
• Handle backup and restore operations using NetBackup and/or BackupExec.
• Monitor systems performance, event logs, and infrastructure availability.
• Support disaster recovery planning, drills, and execution.
• Liaise with vendors for maintenance and issue resolution.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

Wintel Engineer

Location: Central Singapore Employment Type: Contract Role Salary:Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications, relevant experience, and technical capabilities.

We are looking for a Wintel Engineer to support and maintain enterprise Windows infrastructure environments. The role involves managing daily operations, troubleshooting Windows server-related incidents, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring high availability of systems with significant business impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain Windows-based infrastructure according to business requirements
• Manage Windows Server OS installations, administration, patching, and security hardening
• Troubleshoot and resolve Windows OS incidents and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Support Active Directory administration including GPOs and user profile management
• Manage Windows Clustering, VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, and virtual machines
• Handle backup and restore operations using NetBackup and/or BackupExec
• Monitor systems performance, event logs, and infrastructure availability
• Support disaster recovery planning, drills, and execution

Requirements

• Experience supporting enterprise Windows Server environments (2003/2008/2012 and above)
• Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows Server OS and infrastructure issues
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Clustering is mandatory
• Experience with VMware vSphere and Hyper-V administration
• Familiarity with Active Directory, GPOs, backup solutions, and SAN storage
• ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent experience preferred
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently in a large enterprise environment

Additional Information

• Working experience in government agencies (WOG) will be advantageous
• Open to standby support
