Job summary

Tap Growth ai is seeking an experienced Cloud Wintel Engineer in Singapore to manage Windows Server environments and cloud infrastructure. You will implement patch management, deploy cloud services, and automate deployments using CloudFormation or Terraform.

You will collaborate with dev teams to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available solutions across AWS and Azure, while maintaining imaging workflows and workplace management tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Diploma or higher in a relevant engineering or information systems field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with Windows Server environments and enterprise management tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, and maintain endpoint images and OS deployments.
• Plan and support patch management and software distribution.
• Design, implement, and maintain AWS/Azure infrastructure ensuring scalability and high availability.
• Deploy AWS/Azure services (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, Azure App Services, SQL) and manage security.
• Collaborate with development teams to deploy cloud-native apps and IaC (CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Troubleshoot issues across AWS/Azure infrastructure, apps, and connectivity.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies for cloud resources.
• Administer backend infrastructure with focus on PC imaging and workplace management tools.
• Provide support for desktop/server escalations related to workplace tools.
• Perform QA testing for endpoint changes and automate daily operations.
• Maintain documentation and generate reports; handle ad-hoc duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration, testing and maintenance of endpoint hardware and images consisting of the following but not limited to: Operating System, Software/Applications, Drivers, upgrades, updates and hotfixes.
• Plan, implement and support Patch Management and Software Distribution services.
• Design, implement, and maintain AWS or Azure infrastructure and services, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability of applications.
• Deploy, configure, and manage AWS or Azure services such as EC2 instances, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, Azure App Services, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions, etc.
• Collaborate with development teams to architect and deploy cloud-native applications.
• Implement and maintain automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS or Azure infrastructure, applications, and connectivity.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies for AWS or Azure resources.
• Provide administration of back-end infrastructure services with focus on PC Imaging.
• Support desktop and server related escalations pertaining to Workplace Management tools issues.
• Perform Quality Assurance testing for changes to endpoint devices.
• Contribute to the streamlining of daily operational processes, such as automations.
• Ensure smooth running of daily operations.
• Update and maintain proper documentation and reports.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering/Information System.
• At least 5 years of experience in Windows Servers, Active Directory, PowerShell, Group Policy Objects and Workplace Management Tools (e.g. HCL BigFix, MS SCCM, Citrix VDI, Nexthink, etc.).
• Extensive knowledge of PC Imaging Deployment, Patch Management, Software Distribution for desktop and server devices.
• Ability to work in a heterogeneous environment.
• Strong analysis and design background with sound documentation experience.
• Experience in deployment of similar functions, such as HCL BigFix, MS SCCM, Citrix VDI, Nexthink, etc.
• Working experience with MSI technology, Application Packaging/Deployment processes and methodologies will be an added advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of custom actions, scripts, scenario-based solutions and regressive troubleshooting in Windows Installer Technology.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS and Azure services and architecture.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and security best practices in AWS and Azure.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g. Git).
• Scripting skills in Python, Shell, or other relevant languages.
• AWS and Azure certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect are advantageous.
• Proficient troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Self-driven with the ability to work independently.
