Job summary

Peoplebank Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Wintel Engineer (Cloud) to support Windows infrastructure, endpoint management, and cloud services. The role requires SME expertise and will cover AWS and/or Azure platforms with automation emphasis.

The successful candidate will implement patching, OS deployment, and IaC, working in a fast-paced enterprise environment while staying aligned with security and operational goals. Standby support may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Engineering, IS, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Windows infrastructure support experience.
• Hands-on with Windows Server administration, AD, GPO, and PowerShell.
• Experience with endpoint management tools (SCCM, BigFix, Citrix VDI, Nexthink).
• Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure cloud services; IaC tools listed.

Responsibilities

• Manage enterprise Windows Server and Workplace Management environments for stability.
• Handle endpoint admin, OS deployment, PC imaging, and software packaging.
• Design and support patch management and software distribution services.
• Maintain OS deployment task sequences and imaging standards.
• Administer AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure for scalability and security.
• Deploy cloud services (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM; Azure equivalents) and IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Collaborate with teams to support cloud-native deployments and resolve incidents.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies for cloud/workplace systems.
• Perform QA testing on endpoint/infrastructure changes before production.
• Drive automation and document SOPs; participate in standby and ad-hoc duties.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Wintel Engineer (Cloud) to provide SME support for enterprise workplace management and infrastructure operations. The role focuses on Windows environment administration, endpoint management, PC imaging, and cloud infrastructure support across AWS and/or Azure platforms.

This role requires strong technical expertise in workplace engineering, cloud services, automation, and operational stability in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage and support enterprise Windows Server and Workplace Management environments, ensuring system stability and operational efficiency.
2. Perform endpoint administration, including OS deployment, PC imaging, software packaging, driver updates, patches, and hotfixes.
3. Design, implement, and support patch management and software distribution services.
4. Develop and maintain OS deployment task sequences and imaging standards.
5. Administer and support AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
6. Deploy and manage cloud services such as EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, Azure App Services, Azure SQL, and Azure Functions.
7. Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
8. Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support cloud-native application deployment.
9. Troubleshoot and resolve issues across cloud, infrastructure, endpoint, and connectivity environments.
10. Implement and support backup and disaster recovery strategies for cloud and workplace systems.
11. Support escalations related to workplace management tools (e.g. SCCM, BigFix, Citrix VDI, Nexthink).
12. Perform QA testing for endpoint and infrastructure changes before production deployment.
13. Drive automation and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
14. Maintain accurate documentation, SOPs, and operational reports.
15. Participate in standby support and ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Wintel / Windows infrastructure support
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Windows Server Administration
  • Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), PowerShell
  • PC Imaging, OS deployment, and endpoint management tools (SCCM, BigFix, Citrix VDI, Nexthink, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of patch management and software distribution
• Good understanding of AWS and/or Azure cloud services and architecture
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform / CloudFormation)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git version control
• Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills
• Scripting knowledge in Python, Shell, or PowerShell
• AWS / Azure certifications (e.g. Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) will be an advantage
• Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills
• Self-driven and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
