Job summary

The National Environment Agency in Singapore seeks a capable professional for the Beverage Container Return Scheme and related waste-management initiatives. You will join the Waste Management Division and work with PRD to regulate schemes, engage stakeholders, and ensure compliance with acts and licensing conditions.

The role focuses on planning, development and implementation of policies, data reporting, audits, and inter-agency coordination.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical/Environmental Engineering or other relevant fields.
• Passion for environmental protection and adept at working with corporate and public stakeholders.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Sustainability, Environmental, and/or Waste Management.
• Fresh graduates will also be considered.
• Good organisation and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Administer and regulate beverage container return scheme, ensuring compliance of stakeholders and premises and conducting outreach and engagement.
• Ensure scheme operator’s and stakeholders’ compliance with Acts, Regulations and licensing conditions; review reports and plans; conduct on-site audits.
• Foster stakeholder discussions and handle feedback and enquiries to provide timely information, clarification or advice.
• Assist in industry consultations and briefings; perform other duties as assigned.
