Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore seeks a Regulatory Policy Specialist within the Chemical Control and Management Department (CCMD) of the Pollution Control and Management Division (PCD1). You will help develop and review policies to ensure environmentally sound management of hazardous substances, in line with the Environmental Protection Act and regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in environmental management or pollution control preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review and enhance policies and regulatory frameworks for hazardous substances.
• Monitor MEAs and ensure Singapore's obligations are met.
• Participate in regional meetings and liaise with overseas authorities.
• Engage stakeholders in policy development with NEA and MSE.
• Assess licence applications and conduct inspections for hazardous substances.
• Represent NEA/PCD1 in inter-agency groups and committees.
