Job summary

National Environment Agency in Singapore seeks an AEM to support Tuas Marine Transfer Station and Semakau Landfill. You will assist engineers, oversee safe waste receiving operations, and coordinate safety with stakeholders to keep activities on plan.

Diploma holders are welcomed; candidates with 3+ years in construction, waste management, or facility management are preferred. Willingness to work shifts and be deployed at both TMTS and SL is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in any discipline required, with preference for engineering background.
• Fresh diploma graduates welcome to apply; candidates with 3+ years in construction, waste management, facility management, or related industry are preferred.
• Procurement and contract management experience are a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities are required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to work in harsh environments and on morning/afternoon shifts, including weekends.
• Willingness to be deployed at both TMTS and Semakau Landfill locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the engineer in overseeing safe waste receiving operations at TMTS & SL slipways.
• Coordinate operational and safety matters with TMTS/SL stakeholders to ensure activities are conducted as planned.
• Supervise contractors on-site and ensure safe work without disrupting operations; attend to maintenance or repair within timelines.
• Assist in reviewing traffic management plans within TMTS/SL.
• Prepare and call quotations for infrastructure maintenance; ensure spare parts supply for landfill equipment.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
