Job summary

GMP Technologies (S) Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Middleware Engineer (WAS Expert) to provide expert WAS operations and integration support across middleware platforms. The role emphasizes reliability, performance, and incident resolution in a banking context.

You will collaborate with IT and business teams, drive automation, and participate in DevOps activities including CI/CD and on-call rotations. A 5–8 year track record with WAS and related tech is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent.
• 5-8 years hands-on middleware experience, esp. IBM WAS.
• Familiar with JBoss/WildFly/Tomcat, Kafka; Docker/Kubernetes a plus.
• Proficient in Linux/Unix/Windows.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, ServiceNow, Geneos) and scripting (Java, Shell, Python, PowerShell).
• ITIL knowledge; DevOps tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Git) and cloud (AWS, GCP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert support and operations for WAS and other middleware.
• Ensure reliability, availability, and performance of WAS environments.
• Troubleshoot incidents, problems, and service requests related to WAS and middleware.
• Collaborate with development and business teams to meet integration goals.
• Drive improvements in middleware ops via automation and tuning.
• Contribute to CI/CD, monitoring, and compliance in DevOps activities.
• Develop and maintain WAS/middleware documentation and workflows.
• Participate in on-call rotation and shift work as required.
