Job summary

GMP Technologies (S) Pte Ltd is seeking a Middleware Engineer to manage and support global middleware services (Control-M, MQ, CFT) for a banking sector 1-year contract. You will ensure reliability, performance, and on-call support, while driving automation and improvements.

The role requires 4+ years in middleware/infrastructure, strong scripting skills, ITIL knowledge, and experience with banking infrastructure. Singapore-based, with regional/global collaboration opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in middleware / infrastructure
• Must have: BMC Control-M, Axway CFT / Secure Transport / Sentinel, IBM MQ
• Monitoring Tools: OMI, ServiceNow, Geneos
• Scripting: Shell, Python, Java, PowerShell, Perl
• Good understanding of ITIL (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
• Nice to Have: DevOps tools & frameworks
• Nice to Have: BMC Control-M Certification (v9)
• Experience in banking / financial services

Responsibilities

• Manage and support global middleware production services (Control-M, CFT, MQ)
• Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance stability
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, problems, and service requests
• Collaborate with development, project, and business teams on requirements and delivery
• Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform technical analysis and performance optimisation
• Support and enhance middleware platforms and interfaces
• Develop self-service workflows and automation solutions
• Participate in regional/global projects and strategic initiatives
• Provide on-call and shift support (rotational basis)
