Job summary

WT Microelectronics Singapore Pte. Ltd. seeks a senior warehouse engineering leader to design and optimize layouts, material flows, and automation roadmaps. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or related field.
• 15 years of relevant experience in warehouse engineering, facility planning, logistics, automation, or supply chain operations.
• Experience leading large-scale warehouse design, automation, or distribution center transformation projects.
• Experience with AutoStore, AS/RS, conveyors, sortation, robotics, and other automated handling solutions.
• Strong project management, CAPEX planning, vendor management, and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and optimization of warehouse layouts, storage configurations, and material flow strategies.
• Develop efficient receiving, inbound, storage, picking, packing, staging, and outbound processes to maximize space and productivity.
• Evaluate capacity requirements and recommend scalable solutions for growth.

• Define facility requirements including docks, shipping areas, and zones; collaborate with architects and contractors.

Job Purpose

Lead the strategic planning, design, and optimization of warehouse layouts, material flows, facility infrastructure, and automation solutions to maximize capacity, operational efficiency, scalability, and overall supply chain performance. Drive warehouse transformation initiatives through process innovation, engineering excellence, and the implementation of advanced automation technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Layout & Material Flow Planning

• Lead the design and optimization of warehouse layouts, storage configurations, and material flow strategies.
• Develop efficient receiving, inbound, storage, picking, packing, staging, and outbound processes to maximize space utilization and operational productivity.
• Evaluate warehouse capacity requirements and recommend solutions to support business growth and operational scalability.
• Establish engineering standards and best practices for warehouse design and operational excellence.

Inbound & Outbound Process Optimization

• Analyze and optimize inbound, receiving, put-away, inventory movement, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
• Improve material handling methods, workflow designs, and operating procedures to increase productivity and reduce processing time.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance throughput and service levels.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse efficiency, productivity, inventory accuracy, and fulfillment performance.

Automated Warehouse System Design

• Lead the planning, evaluation, and implementation of warehouse automation initiatives.
• Design and integrate automated material handling solutions including AutoStore, AS/RS (Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems), conveyor systems, sortation systems, robotics, and related technologies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, equipment vendors, and solution providers to ensure successful implementation and integration of automation projects.
• Drive innovation and establish automation roadmaps aligned with business objectives and operational requirements.

Automated Facility & Logistics Flow Planning

• Lead warehouse facility planning initiatives, including logistics flow, personnel movement, operational zoning, and automation equipment placement.
• Define requirements for receiving docks, shipping areas, loading and unloading zones, storage areas, and supporting operational spaces.
• Partner with architects, consultants, contractors, and operational teams on new facility developments, expansions, and warehouse transformation projects.
• Ensure facility designs support operational efficiency, workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and long-term scalability.

Strategic Leadership & Project Management

• Develop and execute warehouse engineering and automation strategies aligned with corporate and supply chain objectives.
• Lead large-scale warehouse transformation, automation, and facility development projects from concept through implementation.
• Oversee project budgets, CAPEX planning, timelines, vendor selection, contract negotiations, and project execution.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to engineering, project, and cross-functional teams.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, operational excellence, and accountability.

Qualifications & Experience

• 15 years of relevant experience in warehouse engineering, facility planning, logistics, automation, or supply chain operations.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale warehouse design, automation, or distribution center transformation projects.
• Extensive experience with AutoStore, AS/RS, conveyor systems, sortation systems, robotics, and other automated material handling solutions.
• Strong experience in project management, CAPEX planning, vendor management, and cross-functional leadership.
• Proven ability to manage complex engineering and operational initiatives within fast-paced environments.
• Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), and related logistics technologies is preferred.
