Job summary

VDL Enabling Technologies Group (Singapore) is seeking a Warehouse Assistant (Receiving) to manage the intake of goods, perform inspections for quality and accuracy, and document all received items in the inventory system.

You will organize stock, support order fulfillment, assist with purchase orders, and collaborate with vendors while maintaining a safe, clean warehouse and contributing to cycle counts.

Qualifications

• O-Level or Nitec in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Prior warehouse operations or inventory management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items safely.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality and damages.
• Document and record all received goods in the inventory management system.
• Organize and store incoming products in designated locations following safety protocols.
• Assist in preparing purchase orders and related inventory documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors on shipment discrepancies or quality issues.

• Support physical inventory counts and stock reconciliation.
• Assist with loading/unloading and order picking as needed.

The Warehouse Assistant (Receiving) will play a vital role in the receiving and handling of incoming goods. This position is responsible for ensuring that all products are received, inspected, and properly documented as they enter the warehouse. The Warehouse Assistant will also assist in maintaining organization and cleanliness within the warehouse environment.

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damages to ensure they meet company standards and specifications.


• Document and record all received goods accurately in the inventory management system.


• Organize and store incoming products in designated locations within the warehouse, following proper safety and handling protocols.


• Assist in preparing purchase orders and related documentation for inventory tracking.


• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding shipment discrepancies or quality issues.


• Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment, ensuring safety and compliance with company policies.


• Support and participate in physical inventory counts and stock reconciliation.


• Assist with other warehouse functions as necessary, including loading and unloading of goods, and order picking.


• O-Level or Nitec in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.


• Prior experience in warehouse operations or inventory management preferred.


• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software.
