Job summary

The Japan Research Institute, Limited (Singapore Branch) is seeking a Vice President, Research & Regulation Group to lead regulatory reporting, risk control implementations, and cross-border liaison with Tokyo. The role involves coordinating with senior management to ensure governance and risk programs align with global initiatives.

Candidates should have a business/finance degree, strong risk management knowledge, and experience in banking controls.

Qualifications

Degree in Business/Finance.
Good knowledge of developing and implementing risk control frameworks.
Experience in banking control and planning.
Proficiency in Japanese preferred for reporting to FSA and liaising with Head Office.
Knowledge of Japanese Banking Law advantageous.
Strong written and spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

Project management to fulfil regulatory and audit requirements.
Liaise with head office in Tokyo and report incidents to the Japanese Financial Service Agency.
Ensure the implementation of risk control frameworks and establish efficient risk controls across APD.
Represent the interests of 1st line of defence control owners and handle requests from front office.
Collaborate with senior management and planning teams to work on TOM or governance while evaluating risks.
Support preparation and coordination of meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory inspections.
