Job summary

The Japan Research Institute, Limited (Singapore Branch) invites an experienced credit risk professional to join our team. You will prepare credit applications, perform risk assessments, and support portfolio management across structured/project finance within the Asia-Pacific region.

You will distill complex structures into clear documents for approval, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to optimize portfolio quality and risk controls.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in credit risk analysis and portfolio management.
• Strong credit judgment with expertise in evaluating complex capital structures and bespoke financing solutions.
• Proficient in financial modelling, cashflow projections, and sensitivity analyses.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality credit applications, reports, risk assessments with comprehensive analyses for a portfolio of structured/project finance transactions.
• Distil complex credit structures into clear, concise applications for approvers (management and/or Credit).
• Ensure credit applications and consent requests are circulated, reviewed and approved in a timely manner with high accuracy.
• Maintain strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and respond promptly to credit-related queries.
• Engage with CPM team members by providing updates and escalating material risks early to the Team Lead/Head of CPM.
• Deliver accurate, timely reports required by regulators, head office and internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrate teamwork and the ability to work independently with a high level of motivation and accountability.
