Argyll Scott is retained to appoint an experienced VP Procurement APAC (Head) to lead the next phase of procurement transformation across Asia. Based in the Singapore office, this build-and-transform mandate requires a leader who has already held the top procurement seat within a sizeable, complex business, capable of setting the regional agenda while staying close to execution.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as the senior-most procurement leader for a regional or sizeable country operation with full procurement accountability.
• Deep transport/distribution procurement expertise including strategic sourcing, tendering, supplier management and major contract negotiations.
• Experience leading large-scale procurement mandates in distribution, supply chain, logistics or similar operating-intensive businesses.
• Strong track record of transformation and delivering commercial value while remaining hands-on in critical decisions.
• Executive presence and credibility with C-suite, operations and country stakeholders.

• Lead the end-to-end procurement function across strategy, sourcing, category management, supplier performance and governance.
• Drive value through transport procurement, tendering, contract discipline and supplier accountability.
• Lead major negotiations and commercial decisions in a multi-country operating environment.
• Strengthen procurement processes, data, systems, analytics and operating-model effectiveness.
• Partner with Finance, Operations and country leadership on material cost and investment decisions.
• Build and lead a high-performing regional and in-market procurement organisation.

Based in the Singapore office, this is a build-and-transform mandate for an accomplished leader who has already held the top procurement seat within a sizeable, complex business.
