Argyll Scott Singapore is retained to appoint an experienced VP Procurement APAC (Head) to lead the next phase of procurement transformation across Asia. Based in the Singapore office, this build-and-transform mandate requires an accomplished leader who has held the top procurement seat within a sizeable, complex business.

Qualifications

• Senior-most procurement leader for regional/global operation with full accountability.
• Deep transport/distribution procurement expertise: strategic sourcing, tendering, supplier management.
• Experience leading large-scale procurement mandates in distribution, supply chain, logistics or similar operating-intensive businesses.
• Proven track record delivering transformation and commercial value while hands-on in operations.
• Executive presence with C-suite and country stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement across strategy, sourcing, category management and governance.
• Drive value through transport procurement, tendering, contracts and supplier accountability.
• Lead major negotiations and commercial decisions across multi-country operations.
• Strengthen procurement processes, data, systems, analytics and operating-model effectiveness.
• Partner with Finance, Operations and country leadership on cost and investment decisions.
• Build and lead a regional in-market procurement organisation.

Retained search: an international supply chain / distribution organisation is appointing an experienced VP Procurement APAC (Head) to lead the next phase of procurement transformation across Asia.

Based in the Singapore office, this is a build-and-transform mandate for an accomplished leader who has already held the top procurement seat within a sizeable, complex business. The successful candidate will set the regional procurement agenda while staying close to execution: personally leading critical transport sourcing, major supplier negotiations and high-value commercial decisions when required.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end procurement function across strategy, sourcing, category management, supplier performance, governance and capability
• Drive measurable value through transport procurement, competitive tendering, contract discipline and supplier accountability
• Lead major negotiations and commercial decisions across a complex, multi-country operating environment
• Strengthen procurement processes, data, systems, analytics and operating-model effectiveness
• Partner closely with Finance, Operations and country leadership on material cost and investment decisions
• Build and lead a high-performing regional and in-market procurement organisation

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as the senior-most procurement leader for a regional, group or sizeable country operation, with full procurement accountability
• Deep, demonstrable transport/distribution procurement expertise, including strategic sourcing, tendering, supplier management and major contract negotiations
• Experience leading large-scale procurement mandates in distribution, supply chain, logistics, industrial or similarly operating-intensive businesses
• Strong record of delivering transformation and commercial value while remaining hands-on in operationally critical decisions
• Executive presence and credibility with C-suite, operational and country stakeholders
